Kevin Hart uploaded a flashback picture of Dwayne Johnson, and the former WWE superstar may need some treatment for that burn.
IIf you’ve been on the Internet within the last decade, you’re undoubtedly aware that Kevin Hart and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson sometimes break one other’s balls and have amicable social media exchanges about their relationship. Johnson will make fun of Hart’s height, and the comedian will answer with an imitation of the big celebrity exercising. The funny false rivalry between the two A-listers continues, as Hart allegedly felt the need to cast some shade by posting a humorous vintage photo of The Rock.
Internet-wise, Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart’s history of teasing one another is likely one of the finest things to come out of a celebrity bromance, alongside Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s equally amicable interactions. Similar to Reynolds and Jackman’s dispute, Johnson and Hart maintain a solid relationship despite their regular barrage of insults and funny public humiliation.
The Internet knew this when the Think Like a Man actor recently uploaded a flashback photo of Chris Rock on Instagram with a comment that calls him out for previously having some very tight Jerry curls. You can see the picture and comically offensive description in the following post, in which Johnson appears to be in a foul mood during his early WWE days:
Obviously, Kevin Hart begins the post by praising Dwayne Johnson, but followers of the two men undoubtedly already knew where he was heading with it. Hart continues by severely criticizing Johnson’s previous hairdo choice. As if that weren’t enough, he concluded his comment by calling his big best friend a “Jackass” and added a slew of crying-laughing emojis.
Nathalie Emmanuel, a co-star of Game of Thrones and a member of Johnson’s Fast Family, responded, “Just trolling on a Thursday,” to the delight of fans. Rick Ross himself said that the pattern on Johnson’s collar resembles Louis Vuitton, demonstrating that she is not the only one who sees comedy in Kevin Hart’s shot. This remark has more than a thousand likes and what seems to be hundreds of laughing emojis in replies.
While the picture and text combined are unquestionably humorous, some fans are more amused by the notion that Dwayne Johnson will have to answer with his own insult. Another commenter questioned if Hart is aware that there would be repercussions for his remarks.
There will be enough opportunity for more clapbacks and a reaction from Dwayne Johnson. He and Kevin Hart will collaborate on Jumanji 4 together. Though there is presently no release date and it’s possible that we won’t see the two actors in a picture together until 2023, the promise of more of the pair and the anticipation of more false feud fodder is enough to make one thrilled.
