Should we expect things to really ramp up next week on The Amazing Race, in episode 9?
Well, the first thing to note is that there are only five teams left, and we hope that the next couple of legs are good and competitive. After all, the last two episodes were a little bit predictable, and to be honest, that happens sometimes on this show. There’s not much you can do if one of the teams ends up way behind everyone else.
We’ve said this before, but it’s worth repeating: Emily and Molly are still the team we’re rooting for right now. Why? They are just so different from the rest of the field in so many ways. Since the two remaining teams aren’t the most physically strong and one of them is hurt, it’s hoped that they will continue to think outside the box. The incident in the parking garage tonight could have ruined them, though, and we think they need to be aware that from now on, they’ll need to be at their best almost all the time.
Here’s where it gets hard for them: Next week, the race will go to Spain, and according to the preview, Emily will have to do a challenge that makes her use her knee more. They’ve been able to avoid many big physical problems so far, but this may be the last straw. If there’s any reason to have hope for them right now, it’s because the promo shows them struggling. Still, there are only a few teams left, so there aren’t many options here…
